She made it home for 24 hours!!

Claire was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday April 22, 2009. We got home had an okay evening with our home health nurse. The nurse left about 7pm. Claire scared the crap out of us about 7:30pm go figure!!! Joyce (my dear friend and nurse) came over and calmed me down and we settled in for the night. The night went okay. Of course I only slept for about 45 minutes a couple of times. We had a Dr. appointment with a pediatrican Thursday at 12:45pm. We had noticed Claire had been retracting more with her breathing so we asked for them to do a chest x-ray. The x-ray showed some fluid in her chest, from there she was re-admitted. Of course we were very upset, but if you could have seen her when I got her back into her hospital bed all comfortable. She was so relaxed and at ease. It made me sad, but at the same time glad to see her so comfortable. I'm not crazy, she has been in that bed her entire life in that surroundings she probably felt at home. She will feel at home here with us soon enough. I want her to stay there as long as it takes to get her better completely. I am thinking they may have jumped the gun releasing her the first time.
Now she is back in the NICU exactly where she was before and doing fine. They only had to do some compressions on her chest and the fluid was released. This did not even require any medication so that is great!! Me and Dustin both have explained to the Doctors in no uncertain terms that we do not mind her being there for a few days or how ever long, we just want her to not have to go back!!!! They are discussing things with all the doctors involved and planning the best course of action to get Claire off of oxygen and get her a little more stable. We are hoping to have her home within the next week for good!!!!
John MIchael is back home after a week in Louisiana with his family and I know he had a blast. Thanks to everyone that helped out with im while he was there!!! I was sooooooooooo HAPPY to have him back!!!! I can't wait for him to meet his little sister here one day soon.

Here are some pics of CLaire and her trip home. And of course I took video as well. I will put that on here soon.

Is she beautiful or is she beautiful!!!! And she has red hair !!!

I now know why Claire wanted to go back to the hospital... she was hoping for that hottie of an EMT to give her a ride back!

Claire you are absolutely beautiful! Get better fast, I want to give you big hugs and kisses :)

One Day Baby Claire, One Day. Moving was probably a culture shock for her. Maybe she'll grow up and be a nurse. Big Claire wants to be a NICU Nurse.

I'm not commenting on the EMT, b/c I had to do a double take. I thought my brother had became an EMT and moved to Houston. He looks exactly like Derrin.
