9 month well baby examine today!

Height 29.25 inches, 80th percentile

Weight 24 lbs 10 oz, 95th percentile

John Michael says "Da Da" (of course), Bye Bye and waves with both hands (doesn't know it just takes one hand), repeats noises and of course has to be louder than you were when you made the noise.

He claps when you sing Patti Cake and claps when he is excited about things. Of course he still laughs like a foul all the time and when he gets the giggles he can't stop.

He sleeps about 10 to 11 hours a night and has been for months, so can't complain there. He still takes three naps a day. Just put him in his bed and if he is not ready at that moment to go to sleep he will play a bit and then fall asleep. What can I say so far so good we have a little prince!!

He has been going to school/Mommy's day out for about two weeks now and I think him and I are both getting use to it a little more. Of course it's not like I can ask him if he likes it. But he doesn't cry when I drop him off and when I pick him up he doesn't really get that excited to see me. If I hadn't been around kids my entire life I might be upset by this but this only makes me think he really must like being there if he doesn't act so excited to leave. right???? HELL I don't know trying to make myself feel better. ha ha!

The Doctor said he it's time to start teaching him NO NO and rules. We have been doing this for a while now, he knows what he is not suppose to touch and gets upset when he tap his hand but of course he still goes right back to the same thing a few minutes later. Of course one of many things that he just loves that he gets taps for many times a day is touching the remote are the phones. I guess one day he might realize they are not toys but I am not counting on that day being anytime soon. So I guess the taps and the crying are just going to be daily routine here at the Cavin house :) :)

We have started with a cup, he still doesn't really know what to do with it. I want to get him using it before April and hopefully have him off of formula by the end of April so I won't have two on formula and bottles. We will have to see how it goes.

She said he looks great and she will see us at his one year checkup. I told her yep you will see us and Lil Sis. I am figuring that her first Dr. appointment after her birth will also be John Michael's 1 year checkup. LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!

Hope everyone is doing well, until next time
Sorry for all the info and rambling, it took my mind off of the discomfort LIL SIS has been putting me through for the last few hours. I tell ya she is going to be a stinker!!! I can't wait!!!!!
luv
Patti

Well all the goodness and the naps you talked about in the third paragraph scares me and makes me think you are in for a rude awakening w/ "New" Baby Claire(and by new I mean "Old Baby Claire is 17 1/2 years old now.)REMEMBER??? I wish my babies stayed 3 and 4 FOREVER!!!!!

Well I hope she is like Old Baby Claire, who was good and sleep all night(she had no choice b/c Brittany didn't and I couldn't be up during the night w/ 2)and took naps like JM.

Okay about the bottles(and pacifiers), forget it you will have 2 w/ bottles and pacifiers and diapers too. Make sure they both have their own and JM knows which ones are his so he doesn't steal. If Brittany didn't have a pacifier she would walk over to Claire and snatch it right out of her mouth.
