John Michael Baptism and First swimming

John Michael was baptized today in Plaquemine. His Nannie is Lainie my cousin and his Parran is my brother Paul, they are pictured here in the church. It was a very nice ceremony and John Michael did great, he cried a little but that was only because it fell in the middle of his feeding time. After the ceremony we had a reception at my parents house which was also very nice. John Michael just loves watching his cousins run about he just smiles and smiles..


















John Michael went for his first swim on Sunday at his aunt JJ's house. I put him in just long enough to get a couple of pictures and take him out, I didn't want him to get any sun. Thank goodness aunt JJ has a pool house right near the pool so John Michael could watch his cousins while still enjoying the comforts of being indoors, it worked out just perfect. Can't wait until he can join in the fun in the pool, maybe next year!

If I don't sleep, nobody sleeps!

We picked this onesie up when were in Vegas last year for our anniversary. John Michael was just a wonderful and scarey thought and off course a bit of morning sickness my entire trip!!! It was well worth it!!! I just had to post a picture of this onesie that my wonderful son is wearing it is just amazing that he is here and more perfect and amazing than I could have ever imagined....

Well let me go little amazing is screaming his head off!!!

John Michael 2 month checkup

Today we went to John Michael's 2 month checkup with the doctor. She said he is doing just great!

Stats:
Height = 23 inches = 50th percentile
Weight = 13.6 pounds = 90th percentile
Head = 75th percentile

He is already drowsy and having trouble staying awake to eat, hopefully he will sleep alot today and not have any trouble with the FOUR shots he got today.

His favorite thing in the house

Here is my son having a blast in his favorite spot, the kitchen table --- getting very excited and talking to his favorite thing in the house the light fixture above the table. He loves it!

I'm happy to be able to say my son for the last few days goes in his bed awake and puts himself to sleep. Well not this morning......

Discovery Green Park♦

Today we went to the new Discovery Green Park downtown that just opened the day before John Michael was born. It is really nice and very child oriented, can't wait until John Michael gets a little older. Here are some pictures of course :)

Go Lilly!!!

Here is the story why I have a picture of a flower/plant on my blog. Two years ago me, Beth and Amy went to a craft show and bought this plant (we each got one) it is a Plumeria "The flower of Hawaiian Lei". We all named our plants just being silly, my plant is "Lilly"! The lady gave us directions on how to take care of the plant. SO, for the past two years I have been doing as told putting it up during the winter and replanting it the next year. When I got it, it was just a stick maybe two leaves, last year it got maybe four leaves NO FLOWERS even though I followed all the directions. So of course this year, didn't really have time to mess with a plant with the whole baby thing. AND it is beautiful, so I guess I should just never do anything with it again.
So anywho that is Lilly's story, is she beautiful or what??? :) :) :)

A nice Breeze!

This afternoon there was actually a nice breeze blowing outside, so we decided to make the most of it and go play in the yard for a bit. And of course we had to take the camera with us! I know, I know I go overboard with pictures I'm sorry!

So tonight John Michael has graduated to his crib again for the second time. He was in his crib for two nights and then he had his moment and scared me to death a couple of weeks ago and he moved back into his bassinet in our room. But I am happy to say he is in his crib tonight and so far so good. Did I happen to say I LOVE THAT MIRACLE BLANKET!!!! He goes down for about 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours the first part of the night and then back down for about two hours. And I think that is pretty good for eight weeks old :) :)

Mom's night out!

Tonight mom went out to eat with friends. But before I left me and my little man had a photo session, since mom was looking at least a little nice for a change. I had a really nice time out with Amy and Joyce, I am so glad I have them. And of course Dad did great with John Michael. I left the house about 7pm and when I got home John Michael was sleeping and had been since 7:45pm now is that a good daddy or what??? I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and good friends. I am hoping that this girls night out will be a monthly thing it was a blast!
