Miracle Blanket!!

6 weeks old and growing like a weed!!!

We went to the doctor Monday because John Michael has been spitting up pretty bad pretty much ever bottle and he sounded like he had a cold with mucus coming from his nose and eyes. The Dr. said she saw a little something but not much and that he is very healthy and gaining weight really good. Current weight 10lbs 6.4 ounces.
I had the 24 hour bug Sunday night and Monday, Dustin took care of "Buddy" (that is what Dustin calls John Michael) all night and all day. He did a great job but was really tired he said it's hard when you are not use to it. I say it's hard even if you are use to it!!!
We came home from Louisiana on Sunday and my pawpaw went home from the hospital on Monday and is doing really well. Love that "Old Paw"

In Louisiana

Wish I could say we are here in Louisiana just for fun. My pawpaw took another turn for the worst on Monday and they actually called the priest into the ICU to see him. So we headed to Louisiana as soon as we heard and got here about midnight Monday. Now today is Wednesday and PawPaw being the fighter he is, is doing much better and may be moved out of the ICU soon. I am so glad I have a loving husband that understands how much family means to me, Dustin drove us here Monday night and left Tuesday to get back to work and will come pick us up this weekend. I never packed for an infant before you should see how much stuff I brought :) And of course I packed for all of in like 20 minutes so I just brought everything!!! The one thing I forgot DIAPERS ha ha!! but that was an easy fix.

Mother's Day 2008

My first Mother's Day. Nana and Papa are here and we went to Katy, Texas to the "Forbidden Gardens" which is a Chinese Museum. It was a beautiful day and John Michael did pretty good. We got a ton of great pictures here are just a few.

Ryan and Adam visit John Michael

We had a nice afternoon. Joyce and Allen and the boys Ryan and Adam came visit and brought over dinner. Joyce made spaghetti, salad, green beans and bread it was so nice. She wouldn't let me help with anything and then they cleaned the kitchen after, is that good friends are what!! It was a really good time to see them and play with the boys. John Michael was a little fussy when they were here but not too bad.
