Dr. Visits

We went to John Michaels Dr appointment on Friday and he was back up to his birth weight. He had to get one shot and give some blood. I chickened out on being a part of the shot or the blood giving I let Daddy handle that. On his next appointment he has to get 4 shots so I made that appointment on Daddy's day off as well so he can do that too :) I don't want to see my boo boo get so upset. The Dr. says he seems to be a very healthy baby :)

Today we went on our 2nd outing since his birth to my dr. appointment. I got a good bill of health and was told I can start driving. But I am really not comfortable yet driving I think I will give it a few more days. I am pretty much off the pain medicine but still pretty uncomfortable and I can't think of carrying the baby in the car seat yet so I will give it more time :) I'm getting used to staying home, we just take a bunch of small walks down the street every day. My neighbors must think I am a weirdo because I don't leave the street.

The Announcement

10 days old!!!

John Michael just saying hello to everyone!

John Michael 1 week birthday :)

So we made it through the first week. John Michael is doing great! He loves to eat and sleep so I think that is a good thing. Momo and PawPaw had to leave to go back to Louisiana a week early because John Michael's great grandPaw has pneumonia and is in the hospital in ICU, please keep him in your prayers. Momo is very upset she had to leave she was really looking for forward to spending the week with her little man. So I guess that means we are just going to have to keep taking a bunch of pictures and videos for momo. Here are a few pics from this week.

Hangin in the Hospital

Hi!
Patti here, me and John Michael are just hangin out in the hospital. Daddy just left to go pick up Momo so she can come get her John Michael time. John Michael had his photo session this morning and we got a pretty cute picture, it should be on the Growing Family website within 24 hours. I feel pretty good as long as I don't move :)I think we should be going home tomorrow and we can't wait!!
Thank you to everyone for everything and all your good wishes we are blessed to have such good friends and family.

John Michael Cavin has arrived!

John Michael Cavin was born this morning at 9:34 a.m. Weighing in at 7 lbs. 12.7 oz. and 19" long. Mom, Dad, and Lil' bit are all doing well! Here are a few of John Michael's first photos, and videos.

Not much to say. I'm miserable, this little guy is wearing me down rapidly. I am pretty much uncomfortable 24/7. It's not his fault, he just has no room and that is probably my fault for not eating correctly and not gaining any weight. I promise I really tried to eat and gain weight.

Less than 10 days to go we are almost there, getting a little nervous but very very anxious to meet our little guy. I know this week will fly by! Especially since I have so many little things to get done around the house and I don't move to fast these days..
