John Michael has TEETH!

Yeap, finally we found a tooth December 19th while we were in Louisiana. The day after Christmas we noticed another tooth next to the first tooth. They are both in the middle on the bottom. I would attach a picture but being that he will NOT let me see them at all, I guess that will have to wait.

Christmas Eve 2008!

Christmas Eve we spent with Dustin's family. We cooked all day and relaxed and did dinner and presents that night. It was a nice day. John Michael had a blast!

Learning new things...

John Michael has been patting his legs and chest for weeks now, so I have been trying to teach him to clap his hands together. He started doing it a little over the last few days. Well last night in his middle of the night play session in his crib he must have mastered the skills. He has been doing this all day!!!
He also says "Bye Bye" and waves but not very often at the same time, we still have some work to do on that :)

Texas snow!

I heard yelling outside like little kids, only to find my teenage neighbors out playing in falling ice. All the neighbors were out taking pictures and acting like fools just like me, something so small getting everyone SOOOO excited!!!! What can I say I have never seen real snow before. So here is a short video of our snow from today!
John Michael was sleeping during the snow and he has been sick so I couldn't get a picture of him out in it :(

This morning we headed over to the hospital (that is where my doctor's office is located). We (John Michael and myself) were both all dressed cute and ready to go! I take him out the carseat and into the stroller and he vomits all over the place, I am talking his shirt, jeans and even his shoes. I pick him up he then proceeds to get me and my van with more sickness :( I open the back and put him in (THANK GOD for mini van's!!!!) I open the diaper bag and realize I have shirts but no bottoms, so I put a white shirt on him and cover him with a blanket. Oh and I take my shirt off Thank goodness I had a tank top on under my shirt. (that was real cute pregnant me in a tank top in November!) I went straight to the hospital gift shop and bought the only 12 month outfit they had. I spent 30 bucks on a ugly outfit just so my poor little man could have something on his legs. It worked out perfectly. We made it to the appointment right on time and Dad came meet us. John Michael was talking and being hilarious in the waiting room and he was an angel for the entire appointment. My little man is so easy and fun, we are loving every minute of it and I can't wait to meet little sister!!!

Everyone keeps asking me what else did they say at the ultrasound. I say I didn't hear anything just IT'S A GIRL!!! ha ha ha!!! nooo I did hear that she is average size doing great it seems and is 12 ounces (I think that is what she said opps!)
So we are getting a sister and we are soooooo excited!!! We are headed to Louisiana today for Thanksgiving and will be coming back with TONS of girl stuff. Our Aunt JJ is a life saver!!!! We are so lucky to have her and her big shopping skills.. hee hee!!!

John Michael just loves when his buddy Ethan comes over to play! Now that he is getting older he is more and more involved and curious to know what Ethan is going to do next. Too cute!! We love you Ethan!!

A Great Man!

John Michael's "Old Paw" (my pawpaw) passed away Friday night October 31st. He was 97 years old and lived a great life. The week before he passed he was out in the yard playing with the grandchildren riding them on his scooter. The day he passed he was out in the yard his favorite place in the whole world.
He was here in Houston when John Michael was born and there at the hospital when ALL the other great-grandchildren were born. He adored John Michael and loved to hold and play with him every minute possible. He was a HUGE part of all of our lives, but you can't be very angry that he went to his final resting place, I believe he has been ready for quite a while. REMEMBER 97 years old!!!
Goodbye PawPaw Old Paw you will be missed and always remembered. We love you!!!

WHAT???

He got all dressed up this morning to come with Mom and Dad to a Dr. appt for LiL Bit #2. (The baby is doing fine, no problems we find out girl or boy on my birthday!!!) It was cold out so he had to get all dressed, he hasn't really had to get all dressed too many times yet in his life! He was too cute!!!

Lunch Date!

So Mom was feeling like crap all day yesterday. John Michael decided to take me out for lunch we went to a little cafe near the house for some seafood gumbo and was it YUMMY. Of course John Michael was a perfect little gentleman while mom chowed down.

John Michael and I went to Hobby Lobby this morning and picked up some fall decorations for outside. ( I still need to change that wreath on the door!) So of course it was a photo moment when I got them set up.

Photo shoot gone bad!! ha ha ha!

So my mom wanted a picture of all of the grandchildren to send out a christmas card. So we thought it would be cute to put them in Christmas pj's. We started out in the bed thinking that would be a cute picture. After about 50 pics this is about the best we got.
















So we thought let's try outside they love outside. As you can see below we were right WELL except that one little beautiful blonde haired boy is not in the picture!! Bascoe was not having it and poor Sean had the sun in his face. But look at my little man he was ready to go, doesn't he look so big!!!!

So Momo didn't get a good picture for the christmas cards but we had a blast and I personally LOVE these pictures. Momo did find another picture that she could use so it all worked out!
I actually think we got a couple of good pictures, being that we were working with one seven year old, two five year olds, one four year old, one two year old and a six month old!

Wendy's (my sister) wedding!

We went to Louisiana last week for the entire week! My sister Wendy got married October 4th. The ceremony was at a friends house that had a beautiful backyard it was just perfect. The bride was beautiful and so was the ceremony. Congratulations Wendy and David we love you!!!!

LIl Bit #2!!!

We are expecting our 2nd child, we call the baby Lil Bit #2. YES it was planned and YES we are a little crazy, but completely THRILLED!!!

Today I had a Dr. appt. and Lil Bit is doing fine. First trimester down TWO to go!!! The pregnancy is the same as last time not fun but so worth it when I look at John Michael. The baby is due April 11th and John Michael will turn ONE on April 14th. It will be interesting and I can't wait to share all of it with all of you.

Hurricane IKE and days after!

We stayed home for IKE. We had two generators and a a/c window unit so we made out pretty good with no lights for almost FOUR DAYS!!! I didn't take many pictures for some reason, probably because thankfully we didn't have any real damage.


Here is me and John Michael in our little fort I made in our laundry room this is where we slept the night of the hurricane. It is the only room in our house that has no windows and is in the center of the house! Yes I was a little worried...
